Selangor FC have flown to the Lion City to face Lion City Sailors FC for the second match of the 2025/26 AFC Champions League Two at the Bishan Stadium, Singapore today at 6pm.

In the second year of competing in this competition, the team has been drawn in Group G with Bangkok United FC, Lion City Sailors FC and Persib Bandung.

The Red and Yellow squad appointed Christophe Gamel as the interim Head Coach of Selangor FC on 26th  September. The ACLTwo #SFCLCS match will be his first official match with the team.

After about five days with the team, he firmly said that no matter what, Selangor FC will still fight to get the maximum points.

"The players need to stay highly motivated and give their all on the pitch. My job is to make sure everything goes smoothly, no matter what the situation. I need to make sure they understand and prove it on the pitch. We only have two days to prepare, and with a few injuries, this is not our best situation, but we will still try to focus on making sure the three points are ours, then think about the next step,"

"I am a practical person, two training sessions cannot change everything but I believe in these players. Realistically, we still have time to improve our position. Therefore, the match in the evening we need to give everything. We respect our opponents who are currently at the top of the Singapore Premier League. The team will fight to get the maximum three points," he explained.

As for the players' availability before the match against Lion City Sailors FC this evening, Harith Haiqal was shown a red card in the previous match. Meanwhile, Willian Lira and Mukhairi Ajmal are in the recovery phase. Picha Autra, Samuel Somerville and Izwan Yuslan are now ready to train with the team. The other players are ready to be fielded to fight together for the Red Giants' supporters.

The Selangor FC management is confident that the team will give the best competition to Lion City Sailors this evening.
